ADDITIVES
Is a preservative based on a formaldehyde donor and isothiazolones?
In aqueous media, being very efficient against bacteria, fungi and yeast. It is used as an Antimicrobial agent for paints, glues and all kind of water-based emulsions.
Avoid odour, viscosity and pH alterations due to microbiological causes, that
Appear in water-based paints and aqueous emulsions.
It is not suitable for the preservative treatment of paints with ecological label.
Acts as an antifoam agent. It is a modified polydimethyl siloxane. Used in water- & solvent-based, solvent-less and UV/ EB coating systems. Prior to use, the product can be diluted with water, IPA, isododecane or non-polar solvents. It is listed with TSCA, DSL, AICS, IECSC, ENCS, KECI, TCSI, PICCS and NZIoC inventories.
Dispers is wetting and dispersing agent for solvent-borne formulations. It offers outstanding viscosity reduction with inorganic particles. It is suitable for direct grind and partly suitable with 2-pack 100% coatings. It can be diluted in xylene, isobutanol Dispers is used in general industrial coatings.
Hydroxyethyl methyl cellulose (HEMC) with a delayed solubility. Acts as a thickener. Used for water based systems like emulsion paints
Low viscosity, low pH latex emulsion of an alkali-soluble, acrylic thickener. Used in many kinds of aqueous paints. Offers
Compatibility with most of the common latex polymers, surfactants, and dispersants.
Blend of finely dispersed, lightfast cyan and magenta pigments, which together exactly complement yellow to produce neutral grays. It is a toner designed for whiter whites, bluer whites, and better hiding whites. It increases the hiding power of whites, at the least possible loss of reflectance. It shows compatibility with solvent-based alkyds. Finds applications in water-borne coatings.
Is an organic derivative of betonies clay? Used as a rheological additive designed for low to intermediate polarity organic systems. Prevents pigment settling during storage, and prevents syneresis in thixotropic systems. Improves flow and leveling and controls sagging on vertical surfaces and penetration on porous substrates. Used for anti-corrosive paints, automotive finishes, bituminous compositions, coil coating systems, dip coatings and industrial finishes. Also used in interior and exterior house paints including do-it-yourself paints, paint stripper pastes, printing inks, putty and caulking compounds, refinishes for household appliances, road marking paints.
Used as cleaners & detergents, degreasers, paper & textile processing, paints, prewash spotters, agrochemicals, metalworking fluids, oil field chemicals. Possesses good detergency performance.
Optical brightener is available in bright-blue color with white light. Optical brightener is designed for coatings, natural paints and dye.
Ammonia is a blended ASR ammonia solution for high performance pigment grinding. It enables lower viscosity, higher pigment load dispersions. It has good color strength and excellent ink viscosity stability. Shows good compatibility with SOLURYL emulsions.
Ester Alcohol is a non-VOC, non-HAP, non-SARA, low toxicity, readily bio-degradable premier coalescent and retarder solvent. It can enhance the performance properties of the paint such as low temperature coalescence, touch-up, scrub resistance, wash ability, color development, thermal flexibility and resistance to mud cracking. It provides the highest level of film integrity at low levels of coalescent and enhanced thickening efficiency when used with associative thickeners. It exhibits excellent hydrolytic stability, low flammability rating, low freezing point and low water solubility. It performs well in all types of latex paints, in a variety of weather conditions, and over substrates with different levels of porosity. It has unique balance of properties which makes it useful for a variety of chemical specialty applications such as ore flotation / frothing, oil-drilling muds, wood preservative carriers and floor polishes. It is recommended for use in coil coatings and high-bake enamels. It is designed for use in auto refinish, automotive, exterior, interior- & non-flat architectural-, protective- & wood coatings and road markings. It can also be used in commercial- & general industrial lithographic printing inks and letter press- & oil-based inks.
Diethylene Glycol (DEG) by ME Global is a low-volatile, low viscous and hygroscopic liquid. Under normal conditions, it has no detectable odor, however, under high vapor concentrations; a slightly sweet odor may be detected. It is completely miscible with water and many organic liquids. Because of its higher molecular weight, it is considerably less volatile than ethylene glycol and differs sufficiently in that it has specialized uses. The reactivity and solubility of diethylene glycol provide the basis for many applications. It augments the capabilities to include applications that require hygroscopicity and lubricants. Diethylene Glycol (DEG) is used in printing inks, paints, pigments and dyes.
Is propylene glycol n-butyl ether. Acts as an effective coupling agent and efficient solvent for water-reducible coatings, effective coalescent for lowering the minimum film forming temperature in water-borne latex coatings, and active solvent for solvent-based coatings. Offers very good solvency and oil solubility. Provides effective surfactant properties. Possesses very good coupling ability and evaporation rate control. Exhibits greater formulating flexibility and low viscosity. Is used in latex coatings.
Odorless liquid dioctyl phthalate. Used as a plasticizer in polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resins. Features good stability to heat and ultraviolet light, a broad range of compatibility, and very good resistance to hydrolysis. Light colored, low volatility,
